The Pinecroft Experience
The Pinecroft School was founded with several goals in mind to create the best learning experience for students:
All of these goals were based upon the very real needs of our families. Students come to The Pinecroft School for a variety of reasons. Some have grown accustom to a similar approach in their previous learning experience and want it to continue through elementary school. Others have tried the public school system but were being held back from standardized curriculums that were preventing their individual development. And then there are those who tried private schools with large classroom sizes and/or environments where individuality was not embraced. For whatever reason a student comes to our school, they stay because they thrive.
By fulfilling our goals, we are able to deliver the Pinecroft experience and achieve our desired result which is quite simply, for our students to be happy and successful. Students at Pinecroft graduate with a strong sense of self and the confidence to tackle grades 6-12 with a passion for learning. They possess a readiness for the years that lie ahead and are truly poised for success. Many of our students go on to prestigious schools such as Providence Country Day, Moses Brown and other schools that value high academic achievement and moral character.
- To create a welcoming, inclusive community where students’ unique qualities are nurtured so they can thrive and grow.
- For students to receive the benefits of small classroom sizes – a teacher/student ratio never to exceed 1 to 8.
- Deliver individualized learning as not all students learn the same way or at the same pace.
- Provide advanced academics for those students who have surpassed the standard curriculum and yearn to be challenged.
- To create future leaders who are confident going into middle school (and beyond) and are poised for life-long success.
